There is at least one contributor who ONLY tags sets with "Asshole". To each his own, but I mean, what a useless git. Take this one for example. About six or seven tags apply. But no, like so many before, it just gets tagged "Asshole". Generally I avoid the sets that someone has already tagged, perhaps others are like me. So what this person is doing is effectively reducing the quality of the site by inadequately tagging sets that may be ignored by other contributors.

It would be nice if everyone would apply all tags that apply to a gallery, but some users are into one very specific niche, and only tag for that one niche. If the tag is correct than there is no reason for us to delete it, or write to the user.
I was thinking about changing the point system, where you get one point for each tag suggested, but then we would have to recalculate all the points, which might upset some users. I dont know.. What do you think?
If my goal is accuracy for the site, then the current system doesn't reward being thorough. I get one point for 1 tag or 1 point for 6 accurate tags. Worse is the fact that you get 0 points for 5 accurate tags and 1 that an editor might disagree with. Blonde, heels, stockings, asshole, toy, but if you disagree with "tanned" then you get zero points. This kind of sux.
If you goal is to get the best information about sets, then you should reward effort.
p.s. I don't see the need to recalculate the points. If anyone cares a rat's arse about where they are on the all time list, then really, they need to get a life. My personal motivation is that this is practically the perfect site for my porn needs. I want it to succeed. If better tagging encourages, then I'm up to help out with that. I couldn't give a fuck where I land on whichever list.

Our original system had a significant limitation. It only permitted editors to either approve or delete suggestions. Last week, we improved this functionality. Now, editors can deselect individual tag suggestions while approving the correct ones.

I couldn't agree more.

We revised the system to award one point for each valid tag. This approach is much fairer to all the Contributors.
